Thanks for the response Chad. I had already tried that, and also the same device was working previously with the software versions on the install CD.
I tried installing it on 3 PCs, same result on each one. Each time the computer reported a USB Device, but never reported what kind of device, which I think is why it can't find the driver.
I also have a GPIB-USB-B, and it worked fine on all three machines. The PC would first report a USB Device, then recognize it as a GPIB-USB-B.
I have sent the hardware in for repair.

Hi, Dave,
Is your problem resolved or not?
I am facing same problem as you did.
If solved, can share your solution?

Hi,
I was wondering what version of NI 488.2 you have installed on your computer? Also what is the OS you are running, including either 32 or 64 bit? Are you still trying to use a GPIB-USB-HS or a different device? Does this work on any other computers?
Best Regards,

Hi,
I had this problem this morning when I received a USB GPIB dongle. Apparently, the driver path is not in the system search profile on my laptop. I manually pointed the driver wizard to the NI 488.2 directory and the driver was installed. I have not connected the GPIB to the device yet as it is in a different office.
I don't know if anyone had checked this out, but it's what worked to get the driver installed for me.
