If you have LabVIEW, you can download and use the
LabVIEW Plug and Play driver to control your instrument programmtically. If you do not need to control your instrument programmtically, I recommend that you consult the user manual for your instrument. If that does not help, then I recommend that you contact the instrument's manufacturer because they are the experts on all of the instrument's functions.
Most of the users on these forums are interested in programmatic instrument control, which can make your life a lot easier if you need to run the same test or series of tests multiple times. If you think that you might need to upgrade your firmware, you should go to the manufacturer's website and see what updates have been made to the firmware. It generally does not hurt to upgrade as part of the troubleshooting process.
