Hi,
I have recently used NI MAX and NI TestStand along with IVI drivers to get my devices working(using USB). It worked for TG5011 function generator and TDS1002B Oscilloscope successfully.
Following the same procedure: I started off with 2000 model DMM from Keithley with GPIB.
I am facing trouble in finding my device on NI-MAX devices and interfaces.I am using a KUSB-488B GPIB to USB adapter to connect it.
I can interact with the device from VISA Interactive Control and KUSB Diagnostic tool and can see the device in Windows Device Manager and KI-Configuration Utility. Surprisingly I cannot see GPIB Board in NI-MAX.
Please help.
System Details: NI-VISA 5.2 installed on Windows 7, KUSB-488 driver installed in NI Command Compatibility mode.(only one ieee_32m.dll is present),Un Installed NI-488.
Thank you
Sahithi

I think MAX only works with the NI VISA and NI GPIB drivers. I'm not sure it works with the Keithley drivers and GPIB controller.

I am using IVI drivers to get these working on NI TestStand. I just had a look at IVI website and wanted to know if installing a VISA Shared components would solve this issue???
Note: I have the Keithley 2000 IVI driver from National Instruments.
Please help.
Many Thanks
Sahithi

I would also suggest you contact Keithley. I don't think this is actually a problem with the NI software.
Not only that, but if you are going to use IVI, I suggest you pay a visit to their website and read their Getting Started guides.

To help anyone who read this thread:
I have got the Keithley 2000 working from NI-MAX and NI-Test Stand Using IVI Driver(for Keithley 2000 from NI)and using KUSB-488B(GPIB to USB adapter from Keithley).
Installed Keithley I/O layer from keithley and I can see the device in Hardware assets. I then followed the procedure for IVI driver program MAX and TestStand and IT WORKED !!!!!!
Please find attached ScreenShots for Visual Clarity.
Thanks and Regards,
