National Instruments is pleased to provide a technology preview of NI-488.2 for Intel-based Macintosh computers. This technology preview supports only Intel-based Macs and is only for use with the NI PCIe-GPIB and GPIB-ENET/100 interfaces. We have done preliminary testing on the Mac OS X version 10.4. Version 10.5 has not been tested. To download this beta version of the software, please visit the National Instruments Beta program webpage at www.ni.com/beta. In the drop down list select NI-488.2 for Mac OS X - Intel.

I am trying to interface  Intel base mac 10.4 /10.5 both . to keithley 237 using PCIe-GPIB with your new beta software.

the computer has express card slot, and  we installed 779142-01NI PCIe-GPIB, NI-488.2 for Mac OS X, and when we exploreGPIB , it recognizes PCIe-GPIB card..    other than the cable is there anyother hardware I am missing.??

using labview .vi's give  a message  missing GPIB-Enet .
so when I initiate  new GPIB, it tries to find GPIB-ENET/100.( and it doesn't discover any devices on subnet). the computer is connected to internet using LAN and  so  putting  IP address doesn't help either.
troubleshoot yield no failure, still no connections..

Help.

Hi DUgrad,

Could you check to see if you can communicate and identify the device? You can do this by following the instructions here. You will basically be using the interactive control to find the instrument and communicate with it.

I'm not sure why the VI is asking for the GPIB-Enet. Which example was it that you were trying to run? Was there an error code? It would be very helpful if you could post a screenshot of the error codes generated here on the forum.

Let us know!
