NI Serial Crash with Event ID 18, causes sys to reboot

Hey

My computer reboots when NISerial crashes, the event ID from windows event log is 18, I am using NISerial version 1.45.

After reading through the forums I realize that this error is common but in my case my Windows 2000 machine reboots. Any suggestions?

I would recommend upgrading to the latest version of the NI-Serial driver to see if there is any change in behavior.
