NI232_4_Serial.sys driver file MISSING in NT

I'm tring to install PCMCIA 232 -4 but my Laptop (Win NT SP6, Acer Travel Mate)doesn't recognize it (Diagnostic says:NO NATIONAL INSTRUMENT SERIAL PORT FOUND). In contro panel - PC Card there is written: Device status= working properly, Driver file not installed ( NI232_4_Serial.sys). I'm using NI serial version 1.45.
Any suggestion is welcome.
Please help me. I'm tring to fix this problem since 4 months.

Did you log on as administrator when you installed the software?

Hello,

There is a good page on our web site that has troubleshooting pointers for troublesome installations of our plug and play serial boards. The link for this page is here:

http://www.ni.com/support/serial/trbpcint.htm

I would also suggest doing a completely clean installation of the driver and the serial card. By this, I mean uninstalling everything (driver and card) and ensuring that you install the driver and then the serial hardware.

I hope this helps! If you have further issues, please let us know.

Thank you , i want to add some other info.
-I'm quite shure to be ADMINISTRATOR
-If I go to Control PAnel-PCMCIA is not possible to uninstall or install new Driver (PLS see attached file)
-Info about PCMCIA says : Device working properly.

I attach a Word file with usefull screenshot.
Thank you
