NOVUS USB-I485 Converter

Olá a todos!

Estou com dificuldades em fazer o Labview reconhecer om meu conversor USB-I485 da NOVUS. Fiz os testes com alguns exemplos de VIs para controladores do tipo serial e nada. O labview não consegue receber dados do meu conversor.

Alguém tem algum VI específico para este conversor? 

Fiz a verificação com o NI Max e com o Open VISA test Painel. O conversor aparece mas não consigo fazer ele ler os parâmetros.

Quando eu dou o comando write ele retorna OK. Quando eu dou o comando read ele retorna

"Read Operation
Error

VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) Timeout expired before operation completed."

Não sei onde está o problema.

No VISA Test Panel, você tentou fazer uma Query em vez de write/read individualmente? Usando o botão Query, ele envia um comando, aguarda um tempo e lê o retorno desse comando. Geralmente é o que usamos para testar a comunicação com um instrumento?

Você também pode fazer um loopback test, onde faz uns jumpers na ponta do seu cabo RS-485 e lê exatamente o que escreve. Segue alguns links para te ajudar:

Sorry, I don't speak Portugese. But Google helps me out 

Loopback with RS-485 (which is normally 2 wires) is in most cases not possible. Most RS-485 transceivers have a combined Rx and Tx enable/disable. So only one is enabled.

Can you tell me (or show) more about the hardware. The interface and device you use.

And how do you test this. Are you using an example program or post your VI.

Hi, thanks for the help. I thought it was quiet to speak in my language. 
But it's alright. Let's go in the universal language. 
This converter is manufactured by NOVUS, a Brazilian company. 
Follow the link of the converter manual. 
I'm worried about doing the Loopback test on it. I do not know if there is any damage to the converter. 
I'm grateful if you can help. Labview recognizes the converter installed in the USB port as (COM 3). 
I took the NI MAX test and the Open VISA test Chanel. In Imput / Output mode I get in Write (No error) but when I give Read, 
(error - VISA: - HEX 0xBFFF0015) Time out expired before operation completed)).
Any suggestion??

Hi,

Your device should be connected like figure 4 in the manual at page 8.

You can try to swap the data wires. Some manufactures swap + and -

Which device is connected to the interface ? Can you show the program (VI) you are using ?
