Need SATA protocol or instrument

Hi,

We need to test using SATA protocols. We need to control disk based equipment over a SATA link, and to test SATA hard disk control equipment. 

Has anyone come across a remotely controllable SATA analyser, or a piece of kit that we can configure to generate SATA signals?

We will be using LV 8.6/2009.

Hi Malcolm,

Thank  you for contacting National Instruments. I have done a bit of investigation into this problem and unfortunately, National Instruments does not produce a dedicated SATA testing rig. 

You may be able to use some of our DSA products but I am not sure. My best advice would be to get in contact with the UK office and speak to your Field Sales Engineer who would be better placed to advise you on possible routes forward.

We have identified a LeCroy product with a Windows API. Maybe we can get some C programmers to generate a few LabView friendly dlls for us, but it's a bit of a clunky process.
