PCMCIA GPIB card will not show up in MAX but does show up in windows hardware.

WhenI install a PCMCIA GPIB card in the slot, windows will load the driver and I can see it in the hardware but MAX will not see it.

Hi CDRC1,

What version of the NI-488.2 driver do you have installed on this computer?  It sounds like the device shows up in the Windows Device Manager, but not in the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), is that correct?  You may consider doing a repair of the NI-488.2 driver on this computer.  You can do this by going to the Add/Remove utility on your computer, selecting to change the National Instruments Software listing and then selecting to do a repair of the NI-488.2 driver.  Be sure to have a CD or the source of your original installation handy.  Also, when you insert the PCMCIA card, do you get the Windows "Found New Hardware" Wizard pop-up and follow through all of those steps?

Sincerely,
Anna
