RS232 to RS485 converter

Can anyone please tell me a cheap source/model for a very basic port powered RS232-RS485 converter having no problems with LabVIEW. The Communication is going to be via a short cable between PC and only one device.

Black Box.

If time is an issue, the NI 485 devices will be up and running much faster. Plus if you have problems, you have NI available to get things going.

I will generally go with the NI option because I change my customers by the hour.
