The proper order to install soft to find VISA Resource Name in Labview

Hi. I'm Sorin.
I have the following devices: PC with P4, Agilent 82357B USB/GPIB converter, Agilent 53181A Counter. I can comunicate with counter in Agilent Communication Expert  and also in NI-VISA Interactive Control (*IDN?). But in Labview, (in .vi exemple) I can't find the instrument (alias) in the VISA Resource Name pulldown menu. I know for sure that it must be there.
I want to know, which is the proper order to install soft (on clean Windows XP), to find alias in pulldown menu at VISA Resource Name ?
I installed in many configurations. I propose 2 configurations. Are they correct ? Or maybe someone has a good one, which is working ?
Mine 2 are not working so far.

clean Windows XP sp2

CONFIGURATION 1
Step 1.  Labview 8.2.1 (which include NI-488.2 v2.4.6,  NI-VISA v4.0, MAX v4.1)  default
         2. NI-488.2 v2.5 (which include NI-VISA 4.1, MAX 4.2.1)
         3. Agilent Automation 14.2 (netframe v1.1 included,  Custom>>NI-VISA primary, Agilent VISA secondary)
         4. Driver USB/GPIB Converter
         5. Driver Labview for 53181A (downloaded from web automatically at Find Instrument Driver)
         6. Connect USB/GPIB Converter with default settings
         7. Connect USB/GPIB Converter at 53181A Counter
         8. Check tulip passport in NI-VISA options, check View All alias
         8. Verify Communication (*idn?) with Agilent Connection Expert and MAX

CONFIGURATION 2
Step 1.  Labview 8.2.1 (which include NI-488.2 v2.4.6,  NI-VISA v4.0, MAX v4.1)  default
         2. Agilent Automation 14.2 (netframe v1.1 included,  Custom>>NI-VISA primary, Agilent VISA secondary)
         3. NI-488.2 v2.5 (which include NI-VISA 4.1, MAX 4.2.1)
         4. Driver USB/GPIB Converter
         5. Driver Labview for 53181A (downloaded from web automatically at Find Instrument Driver)
         6. Connect USB/GPIB Converter with default settings
         7. Connect USB/GPIB Converter at 53181A Counter
         8. Check tulip passport in NI-VISA options, check View All alias
         8. Verify Communication (*idn?) with Agilent Connection Expert and MAX

Both configurations has the same result : Communication ok, except Labview VISA Resource Name.

Hi Sorin,
This problem often happens when you install NI-VISA before you install the Agilent GPIB or VISA driver.  Try uninstalling NI-VISA and reinstalling it.  Your resource controls should show up after this.  Please post back on how that went.  I just posted this KB on this issue for future reference.

Have a great day!
