Using Agilent 82350 GPIB and NI MAX s/w

I wish to use this agilent card with NI Max s/w, but when in run the NI-488.2 Getting started wizard the GPIB h/w is not listed.
I have checked in sytem/hardware and verified the card is installed correctly.

Rob,

NI MAX is written for use with National Instruments drivers and hardware exclusively.  Hope this helps.

I have the same problem:

The "Agilent IO Libraries Suite 14.2" should route the NI-488.2 commands natively over the Agilent card (82350B), if "Enable Agilent GPIB cards for 488 programs" in the "Agilent Connection Expert" is checked, but no NI-488.2 Device was found in the MAX.

You can get MAX to see the GPIB board per this but you can't configure it there and I don't think you can use the Scan for Instruments. That uses low level GPIB commands for NI boards. You have to use VISA.

It seems, that the PCI-Board HP82350B works without the MAX. The item in the Agilent IO is enough. Thank you for reply.
(The NiVisaTulip.dll have to be enabled in the MAX)

Did you follow the instructions above about adding tulip support so that it appears in MAX? As long as you use VISA functions and not GPIB, your program should work.

To the best of my knowledge, you want it to show in MAX so you can use it in LabVIEW.
