I realize that this might be the wrong place to ask this question but I’m trying the reproduce the plot displayed on an Agilent 4294A impedance analyzer to a plot on a Labview vi. I was wondering if anybody has tried to do this and what command I need to send to the impedance analyzer. Thanks for any help somebody might be able to give me.

I can't find a driver for the 4294 on either NI's or Agilent's web sites. NI does have a driver for the 4194 here that you could look at and see if the instruments are similar. The actual commands should be in the programing manual for the instrument so you should be able to try them out yourself. From MAX, you can establish communication and do writes, reads, and queries. You could also try using the Instrument I/O Assistant once you've identified the commands.

NI is interested in developing CVI and LabVIEW drivers for the Agilent 4294. We have been unsucessful in our attempts to secure loan of an instrument from Agilent. If you can loan the instrument for approimately 3 months, NI will develop the driver.

NI is currently developing a VXIpnp driver for the 4294 and will begin a LabVIEW driver soon. A beta quality driver should be available in the May/June timeframe.
