Had the Yokogawa set up at my desk and could send commands to it through LabVIEW. Now that the Yokogawa is set up in a rack I can longer establish communication. Trying to initialize the instrument I get error -1073807339, VISA Write in YKWT200 Initialize.vi->WT230 Configure.vi. In MAX I can select the GPIB-USB-HS interface but when I scan for instruments, no devices are found. I am using the GPIB-USB-HS cable from NI. I've tried restarting the instrument and my computer with no luck.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I tried to move the connection around again with no luck. The locking plug screws are secure in the back of the Yokogawa. I even tried to wiggle the cable around but the indicator lights on the NI GPIB-USB-HS never changed to green.

Might it be that the Yokogawa has been switched to talk-only mode by accident ?

Do you know how I could verify that? I'm still unclear after reading the manual.

Update, checked the mode, tried the addresable mode and 488.2 neither worked. Another interesting note, the drop down box to select the instrument through visa wont allow me to browse almost like the control is disabled.

Is VISA installed?
I don't know if the device itself than would show up in MAX but that the lights don't shine is a bad sign.
Can you run the selftest from MAX?
Did you plug the usb cable directly in a desktop, laptop or Hub?
Seems like something is wrong in hardware already

Visa is installed on the machine. I run the self test and get no devices found for the GPIB-USB-HS. The USB is plugged directly into the laptop, I've disconnected all other accessories in case that was somehow causing the problem. I remember the lights on the GPIB cable being green when everything is working, now they are amber. If it is hardware are there any tests I can run on the cable or the GPIB interface card?

I'm not sure there is a way to set the instrument to read/write from one and not the other. I do have the GPIB mode set to addressable on the Yokogawa.
