problem with USB-GPIB-HS

 I recently purchased a GPIB-USB-HS interface.
 
 My problem is following: the communication with the device is very slowly.
 
 It seems to be a buffering problem.
One or even several steps are carried out sporadically with normal speed (20 steps per second) and
 afterwards long time (1..20 sec) nothing happens.
 
 I have tried it out on a desktop PC and on two laptops.
 On one of the laptops it functions almost properly.
 There are no error messages. Everything is properly put and read.
 
 I tested 2.5.2.1 and 2.4.0.3500 versions of driver.
 The PCMCIA and PCI Card works very fine.

 what is wrong there?

What is the make and model of the laptop you are using?  Can you post a Spy capture of the errors you are seeing?  The spy capture has the commands you are sending, the inputs and outputs, the timing associated with each call, and updates of the status registers.

Once we have the spy captures, we should be able to get some more information.
