Hi Stranger,


I am also working on PIC18F4620 for remote monitoring of temperature data. I would like to know what value or number do you send in the write threshold. I would like to pass a boolean string, lets say 'true' in order to pass a message to my pic controller to send me the temperature data from the same serial port. I would also like to know about the gui u made for your project. I am a newbee to LABVIEW..any help is appreciated....thank you...

Hi Mozill,

I don't know the specific threshold value you need for Stranger's program, but as far as learning a little more about LabVIEW, you may want to check out one of the interactive tutorials.  Also, there are Serial Example Programs that install with NI Serial and NI VISA.  You can find them under Help > Find Examples, then Browse to Hardware Input and Output > Serial. 

In his program, he is using a Boolean control to iterate the loop that will send the Write Threshold string.
