Display the path of the missing VI

Status: Completed

Implemented in LabVIEW 2014

After 2011 we have the option to ignore all the missing vi's which are missing. But after loading the project if a vi is loaded and if it has a missing vi then there is no way to check from where it has to be loaded (Expected path of the missing vi). So it would be a good option to check the Expected path of the missing vi after loading its caller (May be in the properties of the missing vi).

While developing, I would like it if double clicking the missing subVI would launch the find dialog for that VI.

My change makes no functionality changes other than displaying the path. I do not officially work on LabVIEW these days... I'm way off on another experimental research project. Any work I do on LV is very limited. This request was for a simple change in the display of the path, which I knew how to implement and could do in an evening without heavy code lifting and the testing is minimal. It caught my attention on an evening where I was having to stay late to wait on another project to finish.

No, double-clicking would not launch the file system dialog for that subVI or any sort of find. I am not changing anything but the CH. Yours is a fine request, but I ask that you, like Darren with his request for scripting access to the path, file it as a separate idea on the exchange.

AQ,

So assuming LabVIEW 2013 ships, will we see this in LV2013 or will it not be released until LV2014?
