Floating "Align & Distribute" Window

Status: New

Very often we need to combine both Align and Distribute operations. For example, objects should be aligned by bottom edge and distributed by centers. Right now we can use Ctrl + Shift + A; Ctrl + D hotkeys, but for intensive UI design the floating point window like this will be useful, where all operations combined together:

Different combinations are possible:

This window can be called probably from View->Align & Distribution Window.

And then you have situations where you need to aling things that reside on different panes...and none of the tools available will help you. That's when you need a floating ruler.

I'd add that it might be nice if the preview grid either matched the con-pane (at least for 4x2x2x4) or had 16 squares.

The preview pane has nothing to do with the VI connector.  It is there to show left, center, right or top, center, bottom based on the settings of how to align the individual objects with each other.

I understand what it is showing.  Generally when I'm creating a subVI I try to align the controls on the front panel with their position on the connector pane.  I think this could make things a little easier in some cases.
