OpenG should be installed with LabVIEW by default

Every time when the new Developer Suite arrives, we have to setup our development system from ground up.

This could be simplified by installing OpenG right from the Platform-DVD's.

Also, the risk of missing dependencies between systems will be dramatically decreased.

In all honesty, that's what VIPM is for.  Look into making package configuration files (vipc) to install the versions you need quickly.

And in LV 2011, there's the link right on the Getting Started Window to install VIPM and (after it is installed) to launch it to do the install of any packages you want.

Missing what dependencies? You are making the assumption that everyone uses OpenG. While I'm sure OpenG would love that, the reality is that is simply not the case. It sounds to me like you need a customized site installation process. Why should NI be responsible for this?
