Remove Completed Ideas from Top Ideas list

Status: New

This strikes me as obvious, but I don't think completed ideas (like New Boolean Diagram constant design! Status: Completed) should still be listed in the top ideas. It should be searchable definitely, but not eligible for the top ideas list.

Use "New" as an Idea Status filter and sort by "Top Ideas".

It's achievable, yes, but it still seems like this should be default instead of a scroll and two page reloads away. In the perfect future, when NI takes all the best ideas, then that top idea page would theoretically be filled with already completed ideas. This will render it entirely useless unless one either a) wants to reminisce about the old days when features were just nascent ideas or b) finds and applies two filters. Just strikes me as counterintuitive.

The overall behavior of the Idea Exchange was discussed at NI Week. There were many good suggestions put forth. It will get a scrubbing of some sort in the not too distant future, and figuring out how best to preserve the discussion of the ideas without cluttering the forum itself was one of the priorities.

would be great if you could get a better idea of what was implemented/is in beta or is really still just an idea 😉

One way would for example to add some more tabs and have:

* Hot ideas

* Most recent ideas

* All ideas

* in beta

* completed

* ...

think this would be a better place than the "Idea Statuses" box on the right.

for each of these you could inlcude a "sort by": Kudos, date, views
