Setting the access scope for multiple items in the project tree

Status: New

Hi,

wouldn't it be nice to set the access scope for multiple VIs in the project tree? Currently you have the possibility for using virtual folders. When I right-click on multiple VIs i can analyze them, run unit test, etc. Currently we're building the hierarchy of virtual folders according to functionality and not by access scope.

I searched the ideas but didn't found such an idea. If so, please don't shoot me for a double post.

This is rather annoying, and I can't see the reason it's not already implemented?

Richard_Ha: Time and priorities, like most "easy" items on the idea exchange. Time and priorities. This particular one is one that I've wished were fixed myself but just haven't gotten to.

There is a workaround of sorts. Add a virtual folder to your library, set the scope of the library, then drag all the items into that virtual folder. I don't like organizing my methods by scope, but if I have many to edit, sometimes this workaround is acceptable.
