I think it would be nice to have the ability to close the front panel of a VI and leave the block diagram open. This would be useful when editing multiple VIs, or just having multiple VIs open, so you can cut down the number of windows open.
I sometimes have a few VIs open at once, to compare the diagrams for instance. Add having a project opened also. It becomes a little too much to handle visually.
