Hi, I bought the student edition of LabVIEW 2010 some months ago. I'm developing an application, and when I went to the message boards for help I noticed SP1 was available. I followed the links and downloaded and installed it. Now most my main program and the application builder are in evaluation mode instead of registered as the student edition.
I spoke to a very unhelpful person at the phone number provided by the application who pointed out that I don't have phone support and directed me here. (Why the program provides a phone number to a person without a phone contract is beyond me.) Anyway, she also mention that I wasn't supposed to have service pack updates. So now I need to either get back to the regular student edition, or get new codes or something. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Simon

Check your NI License Manager (Available from the windows start menu). If you have a yellow square by LabVIEW 2010 Professional edition, it means that when you installed SP1 it put you into a 30day free trial of LabVIEW 2010 professional. As long as there's a green box next to Student Edition everything should be okay. After the Professional trial ends it will just auto-revert to Student edition.

I have the yellow box by the professional edition, but I don't have the green box next to the student edition. How do I fix that?
Thanks,
Simon

Can you post a screenshot of your license manager?

Hi Zealousky,
Have you tried to activate your student version again after you downloaded SP1? You can do this by going into license manager and highlighting the "student version" under LabVIEW and clicking the "Activate" button. The professional version has more features than the student version, so the license may have been defaulted for the 30 day trial as a way for you to try out new features, but you should be able to activate your full license any time.
