82357b GPIB-USB communication error

Hi,

recently I had to change my properly working GPIB-USB-HS interface to an Agilent 82357B one, please advise how to solve the following communication error.

I connect the 82357B to the computer and I get a No VISA resources error in the MAX 4.6.1. [see attached novisaresources.png].

I had enabled the NIVISATulip.dll and followed the instructions that can be found here.

In the Agilent IO COntrol I cannot enable the 488.2 because it is supposedly opened by another device however no softwares are open that could occupy the interface. [no488.png].

I use Labview 8.6 and NI-488.2 2.70., NI-VISA 4.5.1 and had installed the IOLibSuite_15_5_13009_1.exe.

Can you please help how to proceed.

Thanks,

Krivan

Hi krivan,

Have you uninstalled the drivers for the NI device? Agilent drivers and NI drivers often conflict. Here are a few useful links on the topic. I hope they help:
