A labview application build in a previous version (7.0) not working properly with updated version (9.0)

Hello Friends......

I am facing problems with Project application exe.

We had created project using serial communication (RS 232) in LabVIEW 7.0 and Windows XP. Now we want to run it in Windows 7.0. And its not working with it. When we try to update it in labview 9.0 there was some problem with Units. Using "Unit conversion" function. We solved this problem. But after building the Exe application, we are facing some unacceptable problems with sub VIs. For example some Boolean Control are not working. If we wan to move this control on FP. Its getting hide. Not possible to change its size and many more.

can anyone help me with this problem.

I suspect getting a solution to your question with the information you provided is litteraly, a roll of the dice.

You would be well served if you posted the offending code so someone could take a look and observe what you have attempted to describe.

We need more information to your project or even the project itself to have a look to your source code.

You say, you build the project in LabVIEW 7.0 on a Windows XP computer. Which version of VISA-driver did you use?

Now, you have a Windows 7 computer. LabVIEW 7.0 will not work on it. So you upgraded to LabVIEW 9.0. Also here: which version of VISA-driver do you use?

Also, what I do not understand is what you tell us in your last sentences:

- what is not working exactly with you boolean controls?

- where do you try to change the size of your control? On the frontpanel of your EXE?

Thank for reply. I know its less information to understand. Actually this entire code is developed by some other coulige who left the job and I am new with labview. My first tast is to modify layout of entire project and build new .exe file.

There are no documentation for the project. So, its difficult to find which version of VISA driver they installed. here I have 4.5.1 version of VISA.

Or if you know some proper method to update the software code, whould be great.
