No. Those codes are created for a specific computer…

Use the LicenseManager to create new codes for your new computer…

(When you have specific problems with your NI software license you should call your local NI support!)

Really appreciate your help. So I shoud request for new activation codes using the License Manager as previous codes are no use to me now .

I will try this and update.

Thankyou so much.

Go to your NI account and click on "My Products"

2Capture.PNG

In there you will find the serial number you used to activate LabVIEW

3Capture.PNG

Use that same serial number to activate your new installation.

Just add a little to this, you may want to deactivate the LV install on the old computer (if it still exists as such) PC.  Depending on the licensing method, you may have a limited amount of PCs activated on that license.  If the computer no longer exists (hard drive wiped, etc) then you can call NI and deactivate it using your old activation codes.

If you cannot deactivate the license from the old PC, a quick call or email to NI support (support@ni.com) explaining that you are transferring your license to a new machine (enclude your license number) would be a great idea.

I have been doing this for over a decade and never ran into any limit. I even asked on the forum about this limit years ago and nobody had ever ran into anything yet...

But NI does keep track as one of my companies serial numbers was "leaked" into the wild and NI gave us a new one to use.

NI has been cracking down on individual keys lately and happily monitoring Volume licenses to charge as used.  Historically they haven't been too harsh on Alliance Partner seats (once you get over 5-10 each years lease/seat is chump change)

<Story mode>

I once fat fingered my License key during activation and actually wound up registering another companies Key to 8-Ball.  The numbers were very similar and no fraud was intended! NI worked quickly and efficiently to resolve the issue when I discovered my error. I never knew to whom I should apologize.

Sorry dude!

Thankyou all very much for your help.

I was able to activate labVIEW in my new PC. I went to the website www.ni.com/activate . There I was asked to enter my credentials, PC details and product details andonce that was done, Immediately i recieved the activation key. Then I used the key through my licence manager to get the software activated under the same serial number.
