Agilent 34401A

Hello, 

I am trying to read 2 wire resistance with a 34401A. I'm connected using the rs232 port on the meter and using a converter to switch over to USB. I've tried using the example VI to help but it doesn't read anything. Is there a problem with converting over to USB?

The error I recieve is 1073807339.

Looks like a timeout communication error (the negative sign in an error code is relevant).
Can you communicate with the instrument in MAX? Do you get a response to a simple query like "*IDN?"

It does not show up in max. Im going to reinstall my serial adapter drivers and try again.

Yeah give that a try. Also, just want to confirm, did you install "device drivers" with your LabVIEW installation? This will include the NI VISA drivers you'll need to communicate with the instrument.
