Agilent GPIB/USB Interface: National Software doesn't recognize it! What can I do?

We got the Agilen GPIB/USB Interface 82357A. So I tried to install it! Everthing worked good. I can talk to my Intruments. But the NI Software doesn't recognize this GPIB Device!!!! I called Agilent, them NI, then Agilen again.... nobody can tell me something new. I also tested all tips in the forums and so on!
The latest info was by Agilent they told me, there could be a problem with the "Local Unit" or that another IO driver is active!? But now I'm tring for a week and we have to make this Interface working!!
Could you help me?
Greetings and Best Regards

I was in the same trouble. My solution was already overcame with a new
PCI-GPIB from NI. For that reason, nowadays we use to buy only NI GPIB
hardware controllers. It's a pity but it's the most straightforward
solution.

That's all.

Bye

It should work if you use the Agilent VISA and VISA functions in LabVIEW. The LabVIEW GPIB functions only work with NI GPIB cards, IIRC.

What is your configuration - how are you trying to use this?

Les is on the money. For more information, refer to KB #20KCIS7Z and related links on the NI Web site (search for words like hpib and agilent and gpib).

Yea! It SHOULD. 🙂
I tried almost everything...
We have already an other GPIB card
that doesnt work with the LabView
GPIB. But this card responses on
VISA. The USB/GPIB Interface responeses
on nothing, except the own (Agilent)
Software!!

Have you tried configuring it with the National Instruments Drivers for
an identical GPIB device. Can you see it in the MAX explorer?

-Which is an "identical GPIB" device for this Agilent thing?
-No I cannot see it in the MAX, but I experienced that
we have another (much older) device that is not visible
too, but works fine!

I assume you are using the Agilent 82357. What information is
displayed in the Agilent I/O Config for this device? Can you
attach a screen shot?

Thanks,
