Agilent GPIB/USB Interface: National Software doesn't recognize it! What can I do?

Do you get any kind of error code when you try to talk to the DMM? How exactly are you using LabVIEW? Is it with a driver or with some VISA functions in a program you wrote? Assuming that you are using VISA functions in LabVIEW, there's no reason that it shouldn't work if you can talk to it with VISA in MAX.

Many moons ago I set up some instruments with an 82357A and got everything working fine.  We got a new instrument that required labview 8.  Did the upgrade to LV 8.0 and now the 82357 is not recognised by labview (I enabled the tulip passport after the upgrade).  GPIB port shows up fine with the Agilent connect expert, any ideas on how to fix this?

Hello,
In your previous LabVIEW install did you have to install any drivers for your 82357?
If so you will have to install the drivers for LabVIEW 8.0 support.

Let us know if this helps.

My Bad Chris,

Turns out the 82357 does work, it just does'nt show up in the NI explorer.  The VIs were all hosed up due to user errors in migrating to the LV8 drivers, that was the root of the problem.  It looks like things are coming together, thanks for your help though.
