Amulet display connection to sbrio 9607

Hi,

I would like to connect Amulet display (part no783305-01) to Sbrio 9607. From previous related discussions in the forum, I understand that display should be connected to the sbrio using RS232. I would like to make sure that it is not possible to use the USB on the Amulet display for connection. USB connection is more convenient and simple since RS232 requires extra connector and cabling. Nevertheless I would go for the RS232 if USB is not an option.

It looks like a pretty similar questions was asked before (different sbRIO) and they found that they were unable to communicate to their display over USB.

It also seems that if you are comfortable modifying some of the VISA configuration files in the NI Linux RT OS, it is possible to get the Amulet display to work directly over the USB connection.

This method wouldn't be supported by NI, but may be worth a shot.
