Analog input measurement using PCIe-6323

Hello everyone,

I'm currently using PCIe-6323 to acquire analog input signals from 4 MKS Mass Flow Meters model 179A using DAQ assistant (4 channels, 0-5V Differential, 1 sample on demand)

Analog output signals are generated using PCI-6723 and sent to 4 MKS Mass Flow Controllers model 1479A using DAQ Assistant (4 channels, 0-5V RSE, 1 sample on demand) to control air flow rates.

Both PCIe-6323 and PCI-6723 use CB-68LPR terminal block connectors as accessories.

Here's my question/dilemma...

    • When I generate AO 5V and deliver it to channel 1, AI in ALL channels 1 to 4 read ~5V
    • When I generate AO 5V and deliver it to channel 2, AI in channel 1 becomes ~2.5V and channels 2 to 4 read ~5V
    • Bottomline, I was expecting that if I deliver AO (MFC) to Channel X, the corresponding AI channel (corresponding MFM) for Channel X should be relatively the same - AND ALL OTHER CHANNELS SHOULD GO TO 0V.

Any thoughts on why or what is happening?  Am I missing a step here?  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello vjm,

It looks to me your are experimenting ghosting, please take a look at the link below:
