Bluetooth Connection with Passkey Protected

Hi all,

i'm using LabVIEW 7.1 running on Windows XP SP2. I would like LabVIEW to make a connection to a Bluetooth device with passkey protected.

I use the built-in Bluetooth functions to develop the application (eg Bluetooth Open Connection.vi). So far I can only connect to Bluetooth device without passkey protected.

When the passkey is turned on, I don't see a way to key in the passkey (eg Prompt Window).

Anyone can advise on this issue ?

Thanks !

Bluetooth pairing occurs at the OS/driver level and there are no plans to get this deep into the driver from LabVIEW. I would highly recommend that you submit a product suggestion (explain and identify the needs of your application) at the Product Suggestion Center.

Re: Bluetooth Connection with Passkey Protected

Hi Adnan Z.

Thanks for the reply.

Actually there was a balloon raised up at the right bottom corner of Windows, where I did not notice earlier.

By clicking the balloon I was able to key in the passkey manually.

This should solve my problem at the moment. Of course I hope LabVIEW can create an input parameter for passkey so the program will run fully automatically.

Thanks again !

This will allow you to programmatically pair with a bluetooth device.

You will also have to download the dotnet files from 32feet
