Bug in FXP-to-XML conversion on CompactRIO

Hello,

I've found a bug in the Flatten To XML VI, when handling fixed point values on a CompactRIO. It's really insidious because the unflattened value still looks correct, but everything falls apart when one tries to convert it to a different representation. I've reported this to NI, but thought I'd share it here so that others are aware of it.  Here's a minimal test case:

This is the correct result, when the VI is run on my PC:

This is the wrong result, when run on my NI-cRIO 9076:

Hello JKSH,

Thanks for reporting it to us as well as posting on this forum. Did the Applications Engineer give you a CAR # ? This is to identify the bug so you can see in future releases if it was fixed.

Hello Daniel,

So far I've received an automated email from supportaustralia@ni.com, with the subject "(Reference#9839-8F8513)". Is that the CAR?

Hi Daniel,

I am Manoj Kuntamukkala, AE at NI Australia. So, I was in the process of creating the CAR, but I do not have access to login, as I joined NI recently. Therefore, I used my colleages account to create this CAR 391559.

So, I recreated the scenario and the same results as posted by Sze are being reproduced. Also, her name and the SR number have been included in the CAR.

Hi Manoj,

Thanks for replying. I appreciate you giving out the CAR # here!

JKSH – When we release a LabVIEW version, we create a page with the bug fixes so that customers know if a reported issue has been resolved with the release. With this CAR # (bug ID) you can check if the problem you reported has been fixed by R&D, or can call us to check on the status.

Thanks for helping us continuously enhance LabVIEW!
