Can I run an Excel macro using a labview button?

I am generating a 'text' report from my Labview program on notepad. In order to present a properly formatted report, I am using an excel macro.
I am running the excel macro using a separate button on the desktop(outside labview). I would like to 'run' the macro from Labview itself using a button. Could anyone suggest how I could do this?

There are a no of Posts on this forum about this issue. If you run a search "Macros from Labview" you will get a bunch of posts. See if any of them fits.

I still have problem as I am using Labview 5.1. The links I got lead me to VIs written in 6.1.
Any help for running excel macros from Labview 5.1 ?
