Can a smoke alarm connect with labview

I have a EI100b smoke alarm and i need it to connect with labview. I also have NI ELVIS 2+. If it is possible, how do i do it. help thx

Well, you could just place a microphone nearby and read the sound level. If the alarm is on, the level will be very high. 😄

for the smoke detector to alarm, the internal switch must turn ON... take a voltage measurement across the mosfet switch (Vds),drain to source of the detector. ON means near zero Vdc and OFF is high Vdc.

May i use the output of the smoke alarm buzzer as to give signal to labview. I upload the picture of my EI100b Smoke alarm in the attachments

This seems like a question that you and your classmate should be asking your teacher.  This is not a LabVIEW question but a hardware question.  And that hardware is a smoke detector that no one on these forums would know anything about.
