Can't uninstall NI products

When isntalling IMAQ on my PC (Windows XP), I get the message: "Error 1714, the older version of IMAQ can't be removed". There is, however, no other version of IMAQ installed.
I subsequently tried to remove all NI software but I can't unsinstall a couple of them: NI Flex motion, NI Value motion, NI VISA, and NI VISA server can't be uninstalled. I suppose that this is related to the IMAQ problem but I don't know how to proceed. Help would be appreciated.

Try uninstalling LabVIEW, especially if you have an older version of LabVIEW installed on your computer. Just first make sure that you back up all of your VIs. In the past it was possible for versions like LV 5.0 to include the drivers.

I hope this helps out.

Hi,

use the attached msiblast-tool- got it from NI-support.
You can choose either NI-products or "all".
Worked perfect for me as I had trouble with uninstall of LV7 trial-version.

Hello

When using the msiblast utility to wipe all references to National Instruments software from your computer, you are editing the Windows registry.

Editing the registry is the last step before reformatting the computer. So, it is very important to have step by step instructions on how to use this tool.

Please contact NI support.

Thanks to all of you. I indeed ended up reformatting the computer after having corrupted the registry.... I guess it will work now !
