Cannot find VIs asscociated with DAQmx in Labview

I just got a NI instrument USB-6525. It came with two CDs with DAQmx driver, VER 8.7.1. The instrument is working when I tested in MAX using test panel. However, in the labview 8.6, I cannot find VIs to do digital output in order to control the instrument. Is it because that my labview version is not complete or these DAQmx and Labview are not compatible? Thank you.

You need to be careful about the installation order. Be sure to install the software and then install the driver. In your case, LabVIEW 8.6 and then DAQmx.

Thank you for the tip. But I did follow this installation order. First Labview, then DAQmx

Try to reinstall DAQmx. Can you post a screenshot of your Measurement I/O Palette in you block diagram?

I think that 8.8 was the first version with LabVIEW 8.6 support and that is what came with 8.6 on the device drivers CD. The latest is 8.9 and you can download it.

Oh, it's actually version 8.7.2. I really didn't even think about version compatibility....apologies for that.

Thanks a lot for the help. I downloaded the DAXmx8.9 and now it's working with my labview 8.6. Everything is fine now!
