Stacked sequence structure doesnt... (in 2014) 🙂

But stacked sequence isn't on the palette in 2014 right?

You can right click a regular seq structure and convert.

Correct.  There was no requirement given that it had to be on the standard palettes! 😛

Here you go!

Global and Local variables result in this. Though, once you link the variable, it goes to the palette of the control/indicator.

Well, it is obviously a constant of some sort.  Time to start digging...

Build XY Graph and Build Table express VIs don't have it either. In order to get them on the BD, I had to go through the front panel Express palette, so that's probably why. I don't think they exist on the BD palettes.

Okay, back to work

Bravo. That is some weird selective behavior.

I guess that counts as a correct answer, even though the right-click menu is not identical to that in the picture I posted. But I did not ask for that.

Kudo.

This being said, I am wondering why the not a refnum constant is such an outcast. After all, you can connect it to a bunch of terminals. Maybe that's the reason?

In any case, I find sometimes frustrating to try my luck with right-cliking, only to be offered no option to access the generic palette (in addition to the default one). This example provides just the illustration of this pushed to its extreme.

Sorry, you guys were so fired up that I got lost in the flow of answers.

That's not a bad answer, although I am not quite clear what you would expect to have access to?

Not really.  The Not A Refnum Constant can be used on ANY reference: Queue, File, Notifier, Occurrence, User Event, etc.  So it kind of makes sense to not assume the file palette.
