Changing CCD acquisition rate with External trigger

Hello everyone.

I'm trying to trigger a CCD jai CV-M10bx using a square signal output
b the IMAQ 1409.

I'm using the labview example I found the example folder.

HIGH PERDIOD of the square pulse determines acquisition frequency,
the LOW one defines exposure time.

If I select an acquisition frequency different from the one I usually use
(25 Hz) the image "moves" upwards in the screen, as if CCD acquisition time
and the frame grabber one weren't the same.

Should I change my IMAQ acquisition time? How can I do? Or I am compelled to
use only pre-set acquisition frequencies that I find in MAX...?

Hello Capitanevs,

There are a couple of things to consider:

-the trigger frequency of the camera is something apart of the acquisition rate of the framegrabber

-what are the other frequency values you're trying to use? you can set the frequency of your framegrabber by choosing the right .icd file in MAX

Maybe you should verify what's the scan rate of your frame grabber and then see how it matches with the acquisition rate you want to perform.

Regards,

Kim

Yeah, I saw I can change acquisition frequency from my frame grabber (even though I havn't tried to), but
it seems it can accept only certain values (25Hz, 30Hz).

I admit I didn't try to set them to smth else; but I wanted to change acquisition frequency dynamically: change CCD frequency and the frame grabber one at the same time. Otherwise it is useless changin the CCD one.

IMAQ doesn't prived for this?
