I am developing a Machine Vision application in which a computer needs to use as RT Target.
I would like to clarify some issues in order to choose the proper hardware components.
1. Does LV RT supports Intel Core 2 Quad family of processors? I think so.
2. I am pondering two hardware architectures:
A. ATX motherboard.
B. Single Board computer in a Backplane.
Are both posible?
3. At least a PCIe card (NI PCIe-8255R IEEE 1394 Interfaces with Reconfigurable DIO) needs to
be used. Does it makes any difference wether is it plugged in an ATX motherboard(A) or in
a passive blackplane (B)?
4. Is the HARD DISK a must? Could a Compact Flash + IDE adapter be used instead?.
Any help with any of these questions is welcome.

Hi Eblanco,
This is a manual about How to create a RT Desktop target from a PC,https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/371857f/resource/371857f.pdf . Also, this should help you.https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/08/requirements-for-desktop-pcs-as-phar-lap...

Despite the documentation by NI, I am still searching for answers to my specific case.
I would appreciate any comment or suggestion by anyone who had faced any hardware issue similar to this.
Thanks in advance for your help.
