After.  Is that the correct protocol?

Yes.  After is correct.  DAQmx installer needs to know what LabVIEW versions are installed to be able to install into them.

I have no idea why you are still having problems then.

It appears that the problem stemmed from the fact that my colleague installed NI-DAQmx 15.1.1 prior to me installing NI-DAQmx 9.4.

We decided to uninstall and reinstall everything.

However, at the end of the NI-DAQmx 9.4 intallation the following message appears:

Application Error

---------------------------

An error has occurred and NI Update Service must exit. If the issue persists after restarting NI Update Service (Start»All Programs»National Instruments»NI Update Service), contact technical support at ni.com/support.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the NI-DAQmx 9.4 three times now, but the message persists.

Futhermore, the DAQ Assist icon does appear if I run LabVIEW, but the following error appears immediately after I specify the channel:

HelpAssist.dll not found.  Reinstall NI-DAQmx.

Again, I have been through the process three times now.

Plese advise.
