DAQmx 8.8 not exporting channels

Hmmm. Thanks for responding Dennis. As shown in my capture, I obviously have scales, but export doesn't see them...

Strange. What does the initial screen look like where it says 'Welcome to Configuration Export Wizard'? Mine says that the wizard exports configuration data for DAQmx 8.8, NI-488.2, and NI-VISA 4.4.

Yep, mine says the same thing, plus NI-Motion.

Another thing I just noticed was, when I check the ..By Product button, it says I have 0/0 DAQmx, even through it shows DAQmx. I can click it, but nothing happens, and I can't make an export based on clicking that one button.

What version of MAX are you guys working with? I'm working with 4.5.1 and am not seeing that same problem. Installing the latest DAQmx or NI-VISA will reinstall the latest version of MAX.

Bryan,

Did you ever get any resolution to this?

Have you tried untitled.PNG

You could always save this to a global and rewrite them

Thanks Jeff. Yes, there are work arounds, but it's no substitute for the button working in the software.

True-  It sounds like you should reinstall DAQmx.  If the LabVIEW hooks work and the MAX functionallity is missing its gotta be a corrupted file somewhere.  The point of trying the LabVIEW functions was meant to point toward the offending API that is not playing nice.

Sorry to say, not yet.

I am actually dealing with tech support right now dealing with this.  They did tell me a work around that kind of works.

If you go to C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\national instruments\max and copy that directory to a new machine there is a chance it will be recognised on the new machine.

I had a motherboard die and the above seemed to work.  But I cannot export the data from the new machine either.  So I am waiting for a response from the support guys.
