Hello,
I am trying to install different NIDaqmxs for different windows users. The installation path for the NiDaqmx is set to C:\Users\User1\AppData\Local to ensure that only the user 1 will have access to it.
However, when I try to install the NIDaqmx for user 2 C:\Users\User2\AppData\Local the NiDaqmx installation manager warns me that the NiDaqmx is already installed in the computer.
Is there a way to install two different NIDaqmx for different users?
Regards,
Jame

Hello Jame
unless you create different virtual machines for your different users..
NO, that is NOT possible.

Simple answer NO.
NI DAQmx is registered by MAX by all sorts of NI services. So, you would need 2 NI MAX databases.
You COULD use multiple virtual machines, 1 for each user, on the same PC. I do not recommend this.
You probably really want multiple DAQmx configurations. Use NI MAX config import and export or, better yet. Use a LabVIEW project to contain project specific NI DAQmx configurations.
Best, bring in a knowledgable consultant to look at your specific needs and train you up with their experience. <shameless promotion> I offer such services at reasonable rates as 8-Ball Consulting.
