Display x against y in a graph

Hi everyone can someone help me display some numerical value(Y) against some numerical label (X) such as a serial number. All the configurations I tried seem to add the numbers in between the serial numbers on the x axis. Attached is an excel example of what I am trying to do.

The X-axis can only be linear or logarithmic. You cannot have an x-axis that shows the values in random order and with random spacing.

(There are some ideas in the idea exchange (e.g. this one) that, if implemented, would allow you to do this easily.)
