Error 2147221164

Dear All,

I just installed the complete version of LabVIEW 8.5. I thought that I was all set and go, but when I opened my own made programm (excisting programm by manufacturer, modified for my special need) which was writen in LabVIEW 7.1, I got this error: Error - 2147221164 occurred at Class not registered in MT SDK Example.vi.

I have googled a bit on the internet and watched around the forums, but there is no clear or easy way to register the Libraries is there? As i'm no computer expert I can't resolve the problem by using the following solution offered by NI.

Is there an easier way of registering the Libraries? I have no clue where and or what the .tlb and .ocx are...

Can anybody help me with that? I would really appriciate it!

So in short;
Is there an easy way of registering the libraries?
Where can I find the files/libraries etc?

Best,

Patrick

Hello Patrick,

I am afraid that there is no other way of registering these items other then listed in the KB you mentioned. I suspect that your program uses some ActiveX Server or control which is not regitered on the PC you try to run your program on. I think the best way to solve this issue is to find out (with the manufacturer of your program) what the program is calling and where on your PC you have to place it or find it. Then use the KB to register this item(s) and your application should work.
