Error 65550: CRio 9802

Hi everybody,

I was running example "NI 9802 RT Access" from a 9074 writing to a 9802 but I got the following error: 

Error 65550 occurred at cRio-91XX_MountSdDrive.vi

Possible reason(s):

CompactRIO: A problem was found in the file system. Remove the SD card and run CHKDSK. 

Running CHKDSK returns no problems. Any idea what's causing this error?

This is a known issue for the NI RIO 3.0.1 driver, you can fix it by upgrading the NI RIO 3.1

Please repost if that does not fix it.

Hi Hunter,

I downloaded and installed NI Rio 3.1 on my computer and onto the Rio. I still get the same error (65550) when I try to do anything with the 9802 SD cards. Am I missing something?

Hi Dhasa,

If the issue is the known issue with NI-RIO 3.0.1 you will also need to reformat your SD card before it will work with NI-RIO 3.1 or later.  After that you should be able to access your card normally.

Thanks a lot Steve and Hunter! I had to reformat the SD card into FAT16 on a different computer, restart the Rio and then it worked fine accessing it from the FPGA. I am about to try mounting the SD cards in RT.
