Evaluation does not work

I am trying to learn labview for a photocurrent measurement. I installed labview eval 2009 on my macbook (snow leopard 10.6.2). It installs ok. When I try to start the program from Applications/National Instruments, I get an error: This evaluation software has expired ... Does someone have a bugfree version ?

The evaluation works only for a 30 day limited period. How many days have you used the eval version?

I thought LabVIEW for Mac didn't have an evalutation edition.

Maybe it's a beta leaked on the internet.

I downloaded the eval last Monday. I have not been able to use it at all.

Last Monday = Nov 30, not yesterday.

I got some strange errors myself when I installed the first time. Try reinstalling. Or download it again. Maybe your file was corrupted.

Have you changed your system date? That might be the problem?

I don't really know if this is going to apply, but the one other time I've seen this is with Microwave Office. The situation there was that the software that AWR used to verify licensing was stupid. It would think that you had an expired license if any file on the hard drive had a timestamp that was in the future. In our case some of the files were system files - nothing that we would have changed. As soon as the real date got past the date of the latest timestamp, Microwave Office suddenly worked. AWR was aware of the issue, but they decided to not do anything about it. Mind you, this was on Windows, but I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing might be happening here.
