Exes built using LabVIEW (8.5.1) load slowly on my PC but are fast on others

I having a lot of trouble later with my development PC in that the exes that I build using LabVIEW take a long time to load on my PC but are fine on other PCs.  I have 3 different types of apps I've developed (1 of them is a very basic app) and they all started behaving this way this week.  I've tried a number of things, even restoring the LabVIEW 8.5.1 install using Add/Remove Programs.  Standard applications such as Word work fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bruce

Not sure if I can provide you with an answer but do the other PCs have the LabVIEW development environment or just the runtime engine? How basic is your basic app? If all else fails, I would recommend uninstalling (not repairing or modifying) all NI products and then doing a fresh install of LabVIEW and other modules and drivers.

Hi Bruce,

What do these apps do? And how long is "long" to load? Has anything changed in between (things installed, new virus scanner update, etc.)?

IT is now setting up a hard drive with a fresh install of Windows to reinstall all software.  I uninstalled everything NI but didn't get a chance to reinstall.  I think a fresh install is the best option anyway at this point (because unistalling then reinstalling may not fix the problem).

Also, this problem may be related to conflicts of Windows services because the exe loading slowdown did not occur if the computer was boot in Safe mode.  Save Mode with Networking causes the exes to load slow.
