Extra New Vi when launch existing LV7 converted-VI (on Mac OSX)

For you Mac OSX (10.4.7) users,
Has anyone else run into the following problem:
 - install LV 8 (.0)
 - launch any existing VI from your LV 7 VIs
 - your VI opens OK in LV 8
 - you also get an untitled VI opened (a new VI)

If so, please let me know if you've been able to defeat the feature of the additional untitled VI.

How do you have the Preferences set? I have mine set to Skip the opening dialog and to open with a blank VI. If I launch LV by double clicking a pre-existing VI, I get both a blank VI and the one I launched. Is this what you are seeing? If you uncheck Preferences...>>Environment>>Skip Getting Started window on launch, the blank VI does not appear.

Mac OS X 10.4.7 on Dual G5 with LV 1 through LV 8.
