Good question! There is no obvious connection between splitters and panes (they both exist as mutually independent objects of the front panel object). What you can do however is to just use the Convert Pane to Panel Coordinates method of the panel in question.

Hi Andrew,

it was my intention to use Convert Pane to Panel Coordinates at the start, but the root problem is that it has some wierd bugs as described in the first post.
